Chatbots

ChatbotAccording to Accenture, synthetic data and images, chatbots, and AR are forcing us to consider what’s real, what’s not, and more importantly, when should we care? Chatbots are being used to help customers by automating conversations and interact with them through messaging platforms.

Thus, "chatbots are computers programmed to mimic human conversation through voice or text interactions." In greater detail, then, "a chatbot is an artificial intelligence (AI) program that simulates interactive human conversation by using key pre-calculated user phrases and auditory or text-based signals." These AI-powered platforms incorporate natural language processing (NLP), deep learning, and machine learning (ML) techniques.

It was predicted that by 2020, 85% of interactions with businesses were through chatbots.  This was because chatbots help smooth business operations.  As such, they are used for customer service and marketing systems that frequent social networking hubs and instant messaging  clients and are included in operating systems as intelligent virtual assistants.
