How to Find All Teacher Ratings

When registering for classes, we all make sure to check to see who professors are, what our professors are like, what kind of workload they give, and if the class is easy or hard. Luckily there are two very easy ways to figure out the answer to all those questions. One platform is Rate My Professor website the other is Wayne State University’s own Testing, Evaluation & Research Services website.

Rate Professor

Rate My Professor website lets you search the following:

  • Professor Name
  • Set to find Teachers only at a specific University
  • Professor Rating
  • Professor Difficulty Level
  • Ratings for each different class the professor taught
    • Example: MKT 3020, MKT 5410, etc.
  • Check to see if the professor was offered online
  • If you need a textbook
  • If attendance was mandatory or not
  • If a student would take the class again
  • The students grade in the class (optional)

As a student, you are allowed to do the following:

  • If a professor isn’t listed, you can add them in yourself
  • Write your own review
    • What the class was like, was the workload easy or difficult, personality of professor
  • Rate the difficulty of the class
  • If you would take the class again
  • What your grade was like
  • Was attendance mandatory
  • Did you need a textbook too

All these information put together, is what helps a student decide if they should take a class for the next semester or wait it out. It also helps them decide which professor they would like to have for a specific class.

What happens if you do not see a professor’s name come up on the site or if no ratings come up at all for a specific professor on Rate My Professor? That is when Wayne State’s Testing, Evaluation & Research Services comes in handy. Almost all professors have their evaluation up on this site, and it the evaluations were done by students.

This website is helpful or students who cannot find their professor ratings on rate my professor, or for students who, when registering classes are able to see CRN and not a professor name. You can either search by subject and see which professors are teaching what course, or you could search up a professor by their name.

Searching by Professor

Search by ProfessorTo see the evaluations, you must be logged into your school account. From there you can see the evaluations of the professor. You can see the numbers and what they stand for at the bottom of the page. The numbers are averaged out by all the students who took the class. You could also see the evaluations for past semesters and different classes too. The professor evaluations are very thorough, you can see the evaluation for organization, clarity, professor enthusiasm, whether or not there were group interaction, how much the professor covered, workload amount, and workload difficulty. Down below is what it looks like.

Rating

As I mentioned before, you could see what each of the numbers stand for at the bottom of the page, and this is what it looks like.
