What Is Engagement Rate?
Engagement rate is a social media metric used to track how actively engaged with your content your audience is. We measure how engaged a consumer is through likes, comments and shares. This metric is often used to determine the results of a campaign. As marketers we want our consumer base to be actively engaged with our content. Engaged consumers are far more likely to purchase your offering and tell friends and family about it.
What Factors go into Engagement Rate?
- On websites we view average time on page, average page views, bounce rate and shares.
- On social media we look at likes, comments and shares.
- On email marketing campaigns we look at open and click through rates.
