A sample blog post is one that is targeted by students in a Master's level, Inbound marketing class at Wayne State University at the Mike Ilitch School of Business. This blog post explains the simplest of forms of a blog post, in sample form.

A blog post for any blog is verbal content that answers the question posed in the title of the blog entry.  Here, we see that the sample blog post question is being answered by a classroom of students, the blog is hosted on a website the students are building, and the description of the text is meant to answer the question posed by the reader and answered in this form.

Blog posts should have at least 300 words but are unlimited in length other than the storage of the content on the website.  Some recommendations are the entry should be from 1,500 to 2,500 words; however, with the time deficit many readers face, the optimal content should be able to be read in 3 to 5 minutes.

As readers pose questions on the internet, the content of your blog post is crawled and indexed by search engines and through other links to your website, is rated and determined trustworthy.  Therefore, even a sample blog post can drive readers and seekers of knowledge to your webpage.
